Shocking and very sad. Apparently he was battling depression.

Was his sit com canceled? I thought he was very funny in it. RIP Mork.

Very sad. I remember reading about his rehab and I know he suffered from bi-polar. I loved him in Good Will Hunting, my favorite work of his

Horrible news. Not funny. I remember about his depession, and the recent check back into rehab. For all of us depression sufferers, suicides are not a total surprise, but so sad and tragic. I'm so sorry the great guy who made us laugh so much was suffering so much inside. My thoughts and prayers for his soul, and time for personal reflection.

I thought his best work was in a drama movie, Insomnia.

WOW. Did a double take when I saw the title of this thread. Was hoping it wasn't the Robin Williams I thought it was. Very sad indeed. RIP.

What a tremendous loss. This incredibly talented man...
God bless you, Robin Williams, for your brilliant gift, your humanity, and the pain you endured in spite of all the accolades, the awards.
It doesn't matter what role--
Good Morning Vietnam
Mrs.Doubtfire
Good Will Hunting
Or, sitting side by side with a bald child, smiling, laughing, conversing with that patient who has not a hair on his/her head due to undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and other cancer treatments. <3
Major clinical depression is life threatening. The loneliness, sadness, lack of self worth, and lack of hope is as great a killer as any cancer or other incurable disease. It is amazing what we can hide from family, from friends, and from coworkers, etc.
Rest in peace, Robin. The world will mourn. It has lost .. one of a kind.

During some parts of his career I found him to be quite entertaining, it is tragic when someone does not want to live anymore. God blessed each one of us to love life, how this changes in some people is often not talked about.
RIP
