This whole CIA leak conspiracy thing. I think its a lot to do about nothing. The idea that Bush / Cheney are behind this does not make sence. What would they have to gain by outing Valerie?? How does that discredit / harm her Husband? If anything they will make more money due to book deals lecture circuit etc. Hell, they've been turned into celebrities over this.

I think he was looking for something a little more substantial.

let me get this straight. Clinton pardons a bunch of terrorists so Hillary can get the Puerto Rican vote but there's furor over commuting libby's sentence?
Libs on this board okay with freeing terrorists but not Republicans?
I'm okay with putting Libby bk in jail as long as both Clintons go with him. They did the same thing only I actuually BELIEVE Libby misremembered some 2 yr old conversation.
How many of you would be okay with going to jail for misremembering a 2 yr old conversation? Speak up, I can't heeeaaar you.

Dude. Libby worked for Cheney. Cheney is the most powerful vice president in U. S. history. He shoots a lawyer in the face and the lawyer publicly apologizes to him . Thats how powerful he is. You think Libby is stupid enough to do anything without Cheney's authorization?

Light,
Do you think it possible that the WH is simply decoying the Dems into investigating nothing. I got to tell you, as far as scandels go the firing of the Federal Attorneys is weak, Bush can fire them whenever he wants. That the firings are political is no suprize to anyone, just as the appointment of Judges.
Bush probably sees the investigation as a fishing expedition and he's not going to give the Dems anything that they can use to creat a "scandel".

In shear numbers, it seems to have gone out of style.
Dwight Eisenhower (1953-1961)
Pardons -- 1,110
Commutations -- 47
Harry Truman (1945-1953)
Pardons -- 1,913
Commutations -- 118

Dubya, to the American public "Screw you, we don't need no friggin courts".

the recent crew. Both of the weeds (the bushes) have done little in this regard.

If that's the case, you should probably get ready for the black helicopters to swoop down on you one night.

Light, did you change your mind about Libby wanting to talk about what you think he knows.
Come on, make up your mind.

Clinton's 61 stands out in recent years. Highest since LBJ. Even beat out Nixon.
And let's not forget, Clinton was guilty of the exact same crime as Libby - Obstruction of justice. And he served not one day. Libby claims he did not lie, and Clinton admitted he did.
So your outrage over this is just more
The real outrage, if you looked beyond partisan blinders is that Bush lets the soldiers and border guards serve full time. And drug dealers get deals for testimony to put them there. Part of Bush's plot to destroy Amercia and form a socialist union.
Even when you guys have someting halfway legit, you just can't get it right. Condem people for the right reasons, fer crying' out loud. All you have done here is show kee jerk reactions with no evidence of thought processes behind it.
