How about indiscriminate terrorism? Maybe they picked a packed nightclub for their dirty deed without knowledge of whether it was a gay bar or not. Odds are that they picked it because it was a gay bar, but certainly where terrorists are concerned, numbers of potential victims are a far more important factor. See LA. See Boston.

I don't know, perhaps he's a terrorist that hates gays. I'm sure everyone would find it much easier to simplify things as much as possible, but can we maybe entertain the notion that both are at play here? The guy is dead but there will obviously be an investigation and regardless of the need to give Obama shit about Fort Hood and the classification of that crime, I'm pretty confident that if investigating this as a terrorist act will give the investigative departments vastly more resources and leeway with investigative tactics, then that's how it will be treated.

I'm sorry. I don't feel the need to argue, left or right. I doubt the families of these victims do at this time, either, gentlemen.

Spot on. About the last thing this country needs is a guy with a Muslim name killing 50 and injuring more than 50 gay people. Just give sympathy to those who lost loved ones. Leave your politics out of a devastating situation. But of course that will never happen. Both Trump and Hillary will try and get votes out of this. SHAME on both.

We don't know that he was full of hate, though he may have been.
We do know that Islamic terrorists believe that they are doing Allah's will when they kill infidels, particularly homosexual infidels.
Christianity disapproves of homosexuality.
Islam goes beyond disapproval and prescribes death.

Those who commit mass murder out of love are in the minority.

You mean bury your head in the sand as to the cause? No thanks, and I'm offended that you dare to "shame" anyone who talks of what we need to do to stop more massacres.

No response to horses4courses would be one remedy in dealing with his stupid shit. He's obviously using a tragic event to bait the right here into a slug-fest. He could care less about the shooting or the casualty count.
I've been threatened with getting banned for a lot less than the tactics he demonstrates here in creating a brawl. It's not really a matter of liberals and conservatives, but more of an individual simply being an asshole.

Supposedly his father has said that he was sickened by gays kissing in public. As others have pointed out, it can be terrorism while also choosing a group to kill that you'd most like to see dead.
I don't use the terminology "hate crime." I have been against it from the beginning. It gives special protections to certain people, when the crime and its punishment should be the same regardless of the victim. Murdering anyone is "hate". It's sure not love.

For sure it's not love.
Some people though can be pretty detached (almost robotic) from any emotions, including hate, when they kill.

And don't forget Presbyterians, especially the mostly conservative PCA variety.

I guess this makes Muslims "homophobes", too? But the left won't talk about that!

Agree... If Assholes held a primary horses4courses would be in the running.
To the victims of this Terroristic attack may God bless you... and give those around you strengths to carry on.

No. Talking about it is fine. Politicizing it to your way of thinking is the issue. That's okay, be offended. It's easier than listening. Enjoy your day.
