Thought someone might want to see how my little fractional running order exercise actually fared. Here, from the charts, are the actual positions at the calls in red:

1st Call---------------2nd Call---------------Str. Call--------------Fin. Call

12 Shack(E)-1------12 Shack(E)-1---------9 Animal(S)-5--------9 Animal(S)-6
10 Mucho (EP)-6---10 Mucho (EP)-5------10 Mucho (EP)-7-----8 Prime(EP)-11
2 Stay(EP)-3---------8 Prime(EP)-9---------8 Prime(EP)-10------3 Ruler(P)-1
8 Prime(EP)-9-------2 Stay(EP)-3----------12 Shack(E)-3--------1 Master(S)-10
3 Ruler(P)-2---------11 Isn't He(P)-12------3 Ruler(P)-1----------10 Mucho(EP)-7
11 Isn't He(P)-8-----9 Animal (S)-10-------6 Nehro (P)-6---------7 Monzon (P)-9

It appeared that Belmont played ok. The winner of all races on the card was in the top 4 at the stretch call. This a little high as usually only 80% of winners are in the top 4 at the stretch.

Looking at the other calls, the track obviously favored early position horses. Only 2 winners were not among the top 4 at all calls (1st race (closer)and 5th race (5th at the 1st call)). This is quite unusual.

Did not use. Would be but I wasn't coming up with Ruler if they ran it again 100 times.

Yeah, traditional methods like speed figs, pace figs, times, class, etc., just don't work, where running styles, positions, etc., do.
