I'm already thinking that it would have been funnier, if you reverse the lead characters, Jamie Foxx as Archie and Woody Harrelson as George Jefferson. Wanda Sykes could have some real comedy gold with her lines if they'd give her a surprise whitie for George. It seems there's almost zero chance she isn't ad libbing some Trump bashing into her lines, as it now stands.

The shows back then were great TV. I'm 47 and still prefer reruns of those shows over today's TV. I just hope that the political correctness of today's society doesn't influence their plot choices. All in the family themes worked back then and there's no reason why they shouldn't work today.
Just look at the crap that's taking place with the Flyers and Yankees because of offensive lyrics from other Kate Smith songs.....How long has this woman been dead?

Yes...apparently some softies caused a shit storm about racially offensive lyrics in some of Kate Smith's songs so the Flyers and Yankess will no longer be using her version of "God Bless America". They even covered her statue outside of the Wells Fargo Center in Philly.

I have to wonder who the intended audience is for this "reboot." TV viewing habits have changed so much in 40 years. None of the other reboots from the past ever got any momentum. Roseanne had a chance but blew it. Everything else has been DOA.

The difference is quite simple to me. I am a huge fan of the original show but this show will be one-sided. There are no players that are not flaming libs. In the old days we could trust non-biased shows for the most part. I have no trust in any of the idiots that make "television" today. Thanks for playing though.

Interesting.
I find it even more interesting that Paul Robeson also recorded ‘Darkies’.
What’s up with dat?
Wait...softies??
The lyrics are pretty bad, dude.
