President Trump's approval rating is pretty dismal overall, a poll by The Washington Post and ABC News found on Friday, but the numbers are worse in some demographic groups than others.

Just 3 percent of black Americans polled said they approved of Trump's performance, compared to the president's 36 percent approval overall. An overwhelming 93 percent of black Americans, meanwhile, said they disapprove. Those numbers have plummeted, data over time shows; just months ago his approval among black Americans was nearly 20 percent

To start, the word Republicans does not belong. There have been no studies of the political leanings of those who were lynched. Second, with the exception of a few people lynched for horse theft in the old west, most of the white people lynched by the KKK were lynched for being married to or cohabiting with blacks; or for trying to protect black people from being lynched.

What you are claiming is that blacks are leaving the Democratic Party now because of something Johnson may have said 53 years ago. This despite the fact that Johnson strongly supported the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act and was the main person responsible for their passage. And despite the fact that Republicans have been trying to repeal those Acts for the past 30 years.


Someone is sure to tell me how it was Republicans who voted for the Civil Rights Act and Democrats who voted against it. Well those Democrats were Southern Democrats and they are now all Republicans.

You're trying to tell us that Blacks are leaving the Democratic Party because of something Margaret Sanger never said.

Sanger worked with Black ministers in educating black people on Birth Control. Some people falsely interpret "We do not want word to go out that we want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea" as being an attempt to trick the "Negro" into using birth control to affect his own racial demise. This is stupid on several levels.


First, Sanger uses the phrase "Straighten out that idea." That indicates that the idea Sanger wants to exterminate "Negroes" is a false one.


Second, why would black ministers be complicit in the extermination of their own people.


Third, birth control would be a very inefficient method of geocide. In fact birth control increase the chances of survival by affording those children who are born a better chance of survival and a better life when they do survive. Black parents who have one or two children can provide a better life for each than can parents who have four or five or more children. Of course, the same applies to parents of any race.

Seventeen teen agers killed on one day in one place by one person.
Compared to 500 people killed over the course of 365 days in multiple places by multiple assailants.
17 out of a population of 3,158; or five tenths of one percent.
Compared to Chicago; 500 out or a population of 3,000,000; or one hundredth of one percent.

Also, where was the poll taken? Downtown Detroit? Chicago? Poopsville downtown Frisco?
