See, this is where you look stupid, yet I know you're not stupid, but because your vision is "everything is either black or white", you haven't left yourself any room for discernment.

I can't see that? Show me how I can't see that. Because I don't like Trump? You're so stuck in your partisan world that you've lost your ability to use logic.

"If you're not an elephant you must therefore be a donkey". I have never stood up for Pelosi or Obama here (or anywhere else for that matter. ) Find a post where I have.

That is precisely why I'm an independent. I ferret thru the trash to find people in both parties that I can feel comfortable voting for. And guess what? They are out there. And they don't all have the same party stamped onto their forehead.

It does require some discernment. Many people don't want to do all that homework. Being a lock-stepper solves that problem for a lot of people I guess..

I've learned there is no point in having this conversation here. I am in with people who are in boxes, and put others in boxes....and if they don't like a box they make personal attacks, name call........and as I found out recently......they even wish bad things on you.

If someone doesn't like Trump you have them in a box that you've made up for them and then you try to make them fit into it. That's kinda sad, I think. It's both small minded and sad.

Bottom line though, there's 329 million people in the US and they don't come with stamps on their foreheads. You will try to do that to them, but it won't work.

New mutational virus found in Southern England.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...ork-against-it

quote: And the question now facing scientists is straightforward: does variant VUI-202012/01 fall into this last category? Does it represent an increased health risk? Or has its recent rapid spread through southern England occurred because it has arisen in people who are infecting a lot of other people, possibly because they are ignoring Covid-19 restrictions?

These key questions, debated last week after health secretary Matt Hancock revealed the existence of the new variant, were answered firmly yesterday, by the government’s chief medical officer, Chris Whitty.

“As a result of the rapid spread of the new variant, preliminary modelling data and rapidly rising incidence rates in the south-east,” he announced, “the New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group (Nervtag) now considers that the new strain can spread more quickly. We have alerted the World Health Organization and are continuing to analyse the available data to improve our understanding.”

Smoking: my late wife was already addicted to it when I met her at age 15.

The COPD that followed gave here multiple bouts of pneumonia and eventually complete sclerosis of the base of one lung to where the tidal flow as gone.

COPD for years caused Congestive Heart Failure and she passed at 54.

ANYONE who smokes is insane to the realities of it

COVID-19 = TOTAL FRAUD

I was at risk for TWO reasons, add to that I had two more risks - infection and blood pressure.

Never sneezed
Never coughed
Never short of breath - oxygen levels never dipped under 98.

I've has far worse colds.
Temp never over 98

COVID-19 is 100% political strategy.

I'm happy your time with it was uneventful.

I know plenty who are struggling with it.

Sorry for your loss.

The nicotine addiction is very hard for some to break.

Worse than heart disease, and cancer.
Much, much worse than the flu and pneumonia.

Listen to the AMA....

COVID-19 as the Leading Cause of Death in the United States

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...rticle/2774465

The current exponential increase in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is reaching a calamitous scale in the United States, potentially overwhelming the health care system and causing substantial loss of life. The news media dutifully report each day’s increase in new cases and deaths, but putting these numbers in perspective may be difficult. The daily US mortality rate for COVID-19 deaths is equivalent to the September 11, 2001, attacks, which claimed 2988 lives,1 occurring every 1.5 days, or 15 Airbus 320 jetliners,2 each carrying 150 passengers, crashing every day.

And yet the total # of deaths from a year ago hasn't increased. Simply amazing...

You can jump up and down all you want bitching and moaning, but without evidence it is meaningless.

Sort of like "widespread voter fraud"

I am calling your ridiculous claim. Not interested in one or two anecdotal instances in some backwater Texas hayseed local.
