No. I discovered Gurdjieff and Ouspensky through another "fascinating individual"...Robert S. De Ropp.
And, like you, I let their books sit on the shelf for years before getting into them. But then, as life went on, I gravitated to them more and more. As they say in the East..."the teacher appears when the student is ready".

I've heard that before. Like it. My head is really moving in that direction. I'll check out De Ropp. I just started reading Daniel J Boorstin's The Seekers. He has a 3 volume set along with The Discoverers and The Creators. Very interesting.
