Ashamed to be an American?

Here is an article listing a few instances where being patriotic is now considered offensive and inappropriate.

The most amazing one is from NY Daily News columnist Gersh Kuntzman, who says the following.

“Major League Baseball must permanently retire ‘God Bless America,’ a song that offends everyone.”

I would personally pay for a one way ticket to anywhere on the planet to get him out of this country. Liberals will do anything to bring down "Old Glory."

Kuntzman is the little girly-man who decided after the Orlando shooting that he would do an investigative journalism story on the AR-15. He quickly became the laughing stock of the internet.

Quote:
It felt to me like a bazooka — and sounded like a cannon.

One day after 49 people were killed in the Orlando shooting, I traveled to Philadelphia to better understand the firepower of military-style weapons and, hopefully, explain their appeal to gun lovers.

But mostly, I was just terrified.

I’ve shot pistols before, but never something like an AR-15. Squeeze lightly on the trigger and the resulting explosion of firepower is humbling and deafening (even with ear protection).

The recoil bruised my shoulder, which can happen if you don't know what you're doing. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.

It's sickening, but unfortunately a reality. As each generation of disrespectful liberal degenerates gives way to the next, it just gets worse.
I highly doubt the damage already done and what awaits will ever be repaired or detoured.
The turning point imo was Vietnam and what was spawned from the protest and lack of control. Watergate and the mistrust in our government that followed didn't help any. Loss of dignity and moral discipline is the end result regardless the cause, there's no doubt about that.
This is what liberals ultimately wanted, and this is what they're getting. Blame them for the terrorist organizations and their advances as well. They're so soft with any kind of discipline, let that fall on their shoulders as well. When all is said and done, we'll all be laying in the same manure they created. Bastards.

I think it was just 'that time of the month' for him/her.

After that story came out, there was a deluge of pictures posted on the internet of pre-teen girls happily blasting down-range with AR-15s.

From now on, when you watch a baseball game, two things will make if much more entertaining:

1. Every time a player spits, imagine he is spitting on this horse's ass.
2. Every time a player scratches himself, imagine he is telling the LBGT community - look what I have, and I know how to use them!

Question

Do any of you feel more American by singing "GBA"
as opposed to "TMOTTBG" after 6.5 innings?

yes, and I don't understand why anyone wouldn't or why anyone would ask such a question. Anyone that feels otherwise is probably living in the wrong country.

I am already as American as you can get. Maybe you should try singing GBA sometime.

Makes no difference to me. But it's great fun to mock a girly-man who gets PTSD from shooting a small caliber rifle and who gets his panties in a wad about a song that he thinks 'offends everyone'.

If he is offended by the song, he can just go to the restroom during the 7th inning stretch. If he can figure out which one he belongs in.

I wouldn't expect YOU to understand anything at all about the topic of this thread, and guess what? Right again.

It has nothign to do with US feeling American, it has to do about this POS NY Compost writer making that stupid comment and want to tell us how to live.
You and him belong together. If anyone is ashamed to be an American, it is because people like him and you live here.

Who says I don't belt it out at the top of my lungs?

There's nothing like "in your face" patriotism

When's the last time any of you attended a MLB game?

Three weeks ago for me. Dodgers/Giants June 12th.

I love baseball.
I don't love "in your face" patriots.
