You could thank the Pennsylvania GOP establishment for John Fetterman. And, of course, the Wash DC establishment of McConnell, et al, owns a big share of the blame as well.

Dr. Oz was viewed as a carpetbagger when he announced and never was able to shake that criticism. He defeated a Wall Street globalist David McCormick, also a carpetbagger, who was born in Western Pennsylvania but lived the last 40 years in a posh estate in Connecticut, typical of a hedge fund charlatan.

Pennsylvanians had little choice in the handful of candidates that ran in the primaries with NO ONE candidate winning the heart and soul of the electorate.

The GOP establishment gave little money to Oz, and that was in drips and drabs. Oz actually ran a decent campaign but not an overwhelming one. None of Oz's opponents campaigned for Oz. The GOP in Pennsylvania sucks, just like they do in Wash DC.

Plus, Fetterman was helped by the landslide victory of Josh Shapiro for governor over Doug Mastriano. Shapiro's coat tails carried Fetterman over the finish line.

After watching that clip, a carpetbagger would have been a huge improvement. Fetterman is a joke. His family should have shielded him from being the laughing stock he's become, and allowed him to withdraw

He and the Democratic party should have had him withdraw then. I guess it's more important to keep that majority than what's best for an invalid and the country.

Exactly, he should have withdrawn. Putting him through what his wife and the Democratic party did amounts to elder abuse. I actually feel sorry for him.

dave mccormick on the jocko podcast....

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...=1000615975759

great listen and not exactly what i'd call a carpetbagger?

the guy goes to elementary, junior high, and high school in pennsylvania before getting accepted to west point, going to ranger school, the gulf war, traveling the world, and taking a phd at princeton before RETURNING to pennsylvania to work in pittsburgh. i'd think any pennsylvanian would be proud of these out of state experiences?

Your post makes no sense. Dr. Oz is the one who’s a carpetbagger.
I don’t remember anyone accusing Dave McCormick of that.

you don't have to "remember" you can just actually read the thread, the very second post of which says this:

Dr. Oz was viewed as a carpetbagger when he announced and never was able to shake that criticism. He defeated a Wall Street globalist David McCormick, also a carpetbagger, who was born in Western Pennsylvania but lived the last 40 years in a posh estate in Connecticut, typical of a hedge fund charlatan.

while myohmyjustify's ultimate conclusion that no one republican candidate won the heart and soul of the electorate obviously turned out to be correct, the above is a misrepresentation of mr mccormick.

anyhow, great listen if you or any paceman here has the time.
