Raybo? Hear From Him?

I have sent him emails. I have called his cell phone but have not heard from him in months. He has been sick and I am worried. I regard him as a friend and mentor. If you know anything or have heard from him please let me know.

I saw this posted on his site about 2 weeks ago:

This is Samara. I am writing this for Ray because his vision simply sucks. The brain tumor (glioblastoma) that Ray was diagnosed with happened to affect the occipital lobe/vision center of his brain. He has lost his peripheral vison to the left in both eyes and it has also affected his central vison.

The good news is he had brain surgery on August 9th, has gone through 33 radiation treatments, is currently taking chemo pills at home 5 days a month, and 3 MRI's later, as well as numerous labs, everything has all come back normal!

We still have a long way to go. but his attitude remains good/positive.

We thank you for all your support and concern!

We will beat this!

Sincerely,

Samara and Ray

P.S. We miss watching the horses and working in Excel, too!!!

Over the years, I have learned many aspects of handicapping from posts made by Raybo. This is so unfortunate that this courageous and honest man has to go through this situation.
We will keep on pulling for him for a good outcome.

You have to be a serious fighter to go through all that. Get well, Raybo.

Indeed. He's a lot tougher than I am. Good luck Raybo!

wishing Raybo a return to health as his pragmatism and humbleness have been the hallmark of many of his posts.
