Very sorry to hear this news cj. I know a couple of people who suffer from lupus and am aware of the ongoing difficulties it adds their lives. And the emotional toll it takes, not only on the patient, but on the entire family is not the least of them.
Although still going through testing protocols, there is a new drug supposedly showing greater promise at relieving flares and other inflammatory symptoms than those currently in wide use, called anifrolumab -- possibly your physicians might have some idea when it might become available, should it continue successfully through the clinical testing process. The link below details some of the test results.
Sending best thoughts to you, your daughter, and your family during this difficult time.

My prayers were added as well. GOD welcomes and encourages our prayers and they can be very powerful.

Very sad to hear this news. She is in our thoughts as are you and the rest of the family. Stay strong and God bless.

In kind of a holding pattern now as she is being monitored without getting dialysis to see what happens. Suspect our time here is not going to be ending any time soon.

Forgive the ignorance, but did the lupus cause what may have been a temporary kidney issue that has been corrected and that's what they are waiting on. The doctors just want to make sure everything is OK before releasing her?
What a tough situation.
I feel terribly for her, you, your wife, and the rest of the family.
Praying for a quick release.

Thanks buddy.
Definitely lupus, but not temporary. She has SLE, described here. She also has the one listed right below it as well as Sjogren's Syndrome. Words can't describe the heartbreak from seeing your kid suffer.

I am so sorry to hear this. Of course there are no words to describe what you are going through.
Tell your daughter there's a whole Team Lindsay made up of people she doesn't know, who are out here praying and thinking of her.
