There is a video that looks on the surface to be incriminating of the trainer, who is winning a high percentage at MTH. Wonder if it is being investigated? Mejia had to stop riding immediately, but he is still training.

Can they make this sport any harder to justify?!
Depressing as hell to have this accumulation of events - batteries, Baffert, Servis, etc., etc., etc.
Wish I could go back to my relative innocence of rooting for the mighty Forego.

i thought the same thing when i first heard of this, the trainer in question is Jorge Duarte, i suspect he is the program trainer for Alan Goldberg... i highly doubt that Goldberg would have anything to do with allowing a jockey to use a buzzer on his horses. Duarte was an x rider. no matter what happens in this sport, it never looks good.

Lots of innuendos there. Alan Goldberg retired. Duarte is NOT the "program trainer"....he is the trainer. He was Goldberg's assistant for years.

I have no idea if that video shows anything incriminating, I don't know enough about these things. But it is circulating all over the place and figured some would want to see it. I would hope the trainer was questioned at a bare minimum and the public should be told about these things, but we never are. Guy is winning 30% at MTH. We know buzzers give an advantage, has to be even bigger in a place with no whips.
