sign in attempt prevented yahoo

Have been getting emails from yahoo with this title. Neither yahoo nor google are helpful.
Any ideas?

I got a similar email message on my Google mail a couple of months ago.

I did not click on any of the links in the email, but I did change my password & have not received anymore "Sign in attempt prevented" messages since then.

Check the actual link you are supposed to click to fix the problem by:

Right-click, copy.

Then paste it here so we can see it.

Most likely not from Yahoo at all. Just a phishing scam to get you to give them your password.

So it really is coming from Yahoo!

How strange is that?
