To those that like to bite Zayat's ankles every time his name is mentioned, please remember this.

Wow!! You hear about people who can treat animals this way and get away with it for a long time. I just don't understand these people but if you ask them they'll probably say they love animals which is the reason they have so many.

And her post of about 17 hours ago.
We have the Humane Society or an affiliate here which has powers to rescue animals and I think they can arrest individuals for animal cruelty. But, someone has to first bring it to their attention.

Ms Moss is reporting some progress being made re releasing the horses .
Reference is being made to Rood n Riddle so hopefully those in need are getting
moved to the facility .
A prominent owner is paying for the care !
I know Rick Porter was quite upset and wanted racing authorities and venues involved . He sent his right arm Victoria Keith to inspect the horses.
It's good to see owners making the time and effort to do the right thing !

Yes Grits .Maggi spread this far and wide along with her followers .
Not everyone likes or agrees with her but she loves this sport and has for
a long time been an advocate for the well being and aftercare of these horses.

If you read the article, there are plenty of people who are aware of the situation---but no local authority is actually doing anything except letting the animals suffer and starve. Actually the sheriff is the one stalling the investigation, and no one seems to know where the Borells are to arrest them. Right now people are just trying to save the lives of the horses.

Which is my point, I've seen on the newscasts where this agency will investigate and just go and rescue these animals and have the culprits arrested for animal cruelty.

Isn't there a Humane Society located everywhere?

Don't they have animal cruelty laws everywhere in the US?

I have a question...Is there not background check/financial history check for vetting purposes in this business.
Please....I hope there is no one who is going to state that there is no network among all parties. That people don't talk to each other.
I find it incredible that this poor excuse for a human being was offered numerous opportunities after the first failure.
Who in the hell would offer a lease to such a person after they had found out about the default on the previous lease and destruction of the first property?
How in the hell can a person who has been documented for abuse and cruelty to horses able to maintain a trainer's license? And what kind of an idiot judge would arbitrarily issue a judgment taking away a sick man's property. This entire story stinks like a poorly run sewage treatment plant.
Now, among the number of people who had worked for Borell I must ask, why would anyone not do their due diligence and check out a potential employer before taking a job with them?
And finally, I want to know how it is bad karma has no caught up with this walking filth.

There's law enforcement in every county in Kentucky!
Where were they?

I'm sorry, I don't know what NFG is, but in my mind, how well connected one is, one's age, one's attractiveness or lack thereof, doesn't have one thing to do with how we care for horses, or any other animal. Nor does, either, determine whether our attention or our help is warranted.
NO eFfing Good. As I understand it.

It's certainly not normal behavior for anyone to be treating animals with such a high amount of neglect. You'll notice in the write up that it's not just her horses that are ignored, but also her dogs as well. The dogs were more or less given the run of the house, and the closest she seems to get to cleaning up after them is to make a number of two foot piles of dog feces out back by the deck. They apparently made a total mess of the house inside as well, which indicates that they weren't getting near enough attention.

So the question remains, if she's running a farm and the farm isn't getting run (at all), what is she doing with all her time?

Before we jump all over her saying she's a terrible person, there's a strong possibility that she might have some sort substance abuse problem (be it drugs or alcohol) that needs addressing. The signs are all there. She doesn't look after anything she owns, she's apparently never around working on her farms, and she's apparently constantly broke.

Her time and money have to be going somewhere, I just don't see how someone in their right mind can honestly treat animals in this way and not have it weighing highly on their conscience.
If if she is a substance abuser, then she is a double a**hole.
I offer no sympathy to junkies. They can all rot.
I cannot fathom how it is when someone CHOOSES to take drugs or drink themselves into a stupor and does bad things, somehow gets a hall pass from some people. As though it isn't their fault the things they do....
Please do not take this the wrong way. It is not meant as a criticism of you in any way.
I am just so pissed off after reading this, I could just chew up nails and spirt them out.

Ok..Instead of some type of " go find out for yourself" reply, if you have knowledge in this area ( contract law) please post it for us to see and that will also us to understand your rebuttal to the OP.

Allowing them to just vanish is letting them off too easily.
Nope. On this one, anyone who cares about these animals deserves their pound of flesh.

I am wondering where this woman gets the power or influence to get a facebook page taken down when said page simply depicted facts.
Who IS this person. How is she somehow able to slip through knot holes in wooden fences.
