WORSE THAN WATERGATE

John Dean got a front-row seat to the paranoid treachery of President Richard Nixon. As the White House counsel, he watched the president lie constantly, engage in relentless subterfuge, and conduct his continual search for someone new to throw under the bus as the walls closed in around him. But most of all, he watched Nixon trample the rule of law in a desperate survival instinct, most prominently by engineering the firing of the special prosecutor leading the Watergate.investigation in what became known as the Saturday Night Massacre.

So who better to turn to than Dean, as the noise grows louder that President Trump may also try to fire the man leading an investigation into him and his associates? Dean joined Anderson Cooper on CNN Monday night to offer a stunning assessment: Trump has already gone farther than Nixon ever did to obstruct justice. What I think we're witnessing is a very public obstruction of justice. He, as I see it, has already exceeded everything that Nixon did. He's really much more intimately involved than Nixon ever was in the cover-up...Trump is Nixon on steroids and stilts.

Dean's main reasoning is that Trump is doing at least as much as Nixon did, but earlier in the investigation and in plain sight. Before this very special era in American history, it was considered verboten for a president to comment publicly on any Justice Department investigation. That was to prevent the perception they were trying to influence that probe through public pressure—or that it would be a reflection of more covert behavior behind the scenes. Now, Trump comments on an investigation into himself and his associates on a near-daily basis.

More swamp draining. Love it. Now if he would hire an AG that will finally go after Hillary. Which I’m guessing is the plan. I think Trump understands he is one and done without at least an honest attempt to prosecute her and her ilk.

Two years. That’s past the usual trump expiration date.

I thought he was a goner months ago.

Well, Humpty, at least Trump isn't covering anything up, is he? Worse than Watergate, indeed...

The Mueller investigation has been a massive dud as of late. Nobody has been talking about it for the past couple of months with any kind of gumption. Not even CNN or MSNBC.

Now that the Mid-terms are over, and Dems have control of the House, they have actually announced that they are coming after Trump with numerous investigations in mind including first and foremost his tax returns. Adam Schiff has also stated his desire for a Trump/Russia investigation. (You know, that bug-eyed really creepy looking guy that was leaking Mueller investigation info on a near weekly basis for quite a while?)

Now, in one fell swoop, without saying a word, Jeff Sessions is no longer the AG and the entire leadership of the Dem party has come forth to protect the integrity and greatness of the Mueller investigation for fear that *gasp* Trump will now fire Mueller!

Trump didn't even have to say a word as it was his Chief of Staff that delivered the message to Sessions.

Now we have every power broker on the left such as Schumer, Harris, Warner, Blumenthal, et al. looking to protect the sanctity of the Mueller investigation. Demanding the sanctity and integrity of that investigation to not be disturbed, and in fact looking to bring something to the Senate floor to deny such a treasonous act dammit!

All the while Trump extending an olive branch to the Dems in the House to work on healthcare, immigration/DACA, infrastructure and anything else they'd like to discuss and want to move forward with for the American people. You know, those people who voted for you and that you promised progress with healthcare, and immigration reform, and infrastructure and and and....?

What? What is that you say? You don't want to do any of that, and you want to launch another investigation into Trump/Russia along with the Mueller investigation you just 100% emphatically endorsed?

My my. What a wicked web we weave...

Massacre?

Be interesting to see if Mueller does fire a shot and takes a scalp to protect his troops or just plays the long game.

Of course it could just be a transitioning meeting as well and much ado about nothing.
Massacre, Much ado about nothing. You covered your ass this time.
What do you really think.

The President's IQ is around 160 and his political opponents still don't get it.

Things to think about.......

1. Whitaker is totally in charge of DOJ.
2. Whitaker did not recuse himself from the Mueller Circus.
3. Mueller's report will go to Whitaker, when Whitaker asks for it.
4. The decision to release all of it, some of it or none of it is Whitaker's.
5. Whitaker's past comments may foreshadow new special investigators for both Hillary and the FBI
6. Trump's action/mood today may set the tone for the last two years. With nothing to lose, he just may well be ready to get jiggy with them.

Sit back, relax, enjoy your whine.

Mueller can just kick charges over to other Jurisdictions like he already has outside of the purview of the DOJ.

He's already done that.

He's not stupid.

Only if given the power, to do so, by the acting A.G, which Rosenstein allowed. I am confident that authority to do so will be revoked by the new acting A.G.
