East St. Louis is not a place you want your car to break down, especially if you are white. The crime rate is off the charts, murder, robbery, assault, etc. They only have a population of 25,000, and it seems every one of them is a criminal. The population is 1.23 percent white, 97.74 black, the rest Hispanic or mixed.
