So? It means a specific thing. Doesn't matter if it was used more often.

So on the one hand, he's the LONE GUNMAN...a loser, as you correctly point out. A failure at life...someone with not much in his life...no friends...a mail order bride who wasn't working out well and whom he abused if I recall correctly.
The one thing he "accomplishes" in his life, and he's going to back off from that?
If he indeed set out to kill Kennedy that morning, and it's obvious he accomplished his goal, why would he go about denying it? And better yet, not only denying it, but saying he was a patsy? He was set up?
It really doesn't jibe. Even you can admit this.
