A couple of other points you made:
Slew's Belmont-June 11th...the Swaps-July 3rd...3 weeks.
The Bid's Belmont-June 9th...Delaware Alw---Aug 26th..almost 3 months.
The track record was nothing..1-41 3/5. It is held by another horse now.
As for the Affirmed question, tough call. I think the Bid was better.
But, Affirmed was a smart horse..he liked to "camp" on the lead.
He just was not flashy.
