If I am overweight and then I get coronavirus and die...have I died of an "comorbidity"...or has the coronavirus killed me? Why hadn't my overweight condition killed me BEFORE I got the coronavirus? Do we have to be perfectly healthy beforehand in order to varify that the coronavirus was responsible for our subsequent death...and that COVID-19 isn't a "hoax"?

You make it sound as if Owens is saying the actual COVID-19 virus DOES NOT EXIST.
That is not what she is saying.
HOAX is defined as (according to MW):
1) : to trick into believing or accepting as genuine something false and often preposterous
2) an act intended to trick or dupe
3) something accepted or established by fraud or fabrication
None of the above definitions of HOAX automatically translate to: COVID-19, the actual virus itself, does NOT EXIST.
Of course that is not what she is saying by using the word HOAX
Just like with GLOBAL WARMING.
When someone says GLOBAL WARMING is a hoax, they are NOT saying the actual temperature of the earth is not GETTING WARMER.
Both the above are proven by pretty non-deniable science.
The earth is getting warmer. That is objective.
The COVID-19 virus exists. That is objective.
The means to or even ABILITY to reverse global warming, and it's causes, is what some call the HOAX, not the actual, empirical temperature data.
The means to, or even ABILITY to prevent COVID-19 infection via lockdown etc, is again, what some refer to as the HOAX (such as C. Owens above).
Hopefully, this clears things up for you and others.
