What has happened to the long prices on the tote boards these days? I'm watching a race in which there is a 12 horse field and 8 horses are almost 4-1 only. How can that be? It certainly can't be $2 bettors who bet colors and lucky names controlling the tote board. so how can the odds never change? I'm watching the board in another race a 10 or 11 horse field and 7 horses are 13-1 with no odds higher than that. There doesn't appear to be any 40-1's or 30-1's anymore.It's like someone was betting every horse in the race to pay a specific price that they want it to pay. something's not right with the odds anymore.
