Trudeau used a private jet. Would you expect the Prime Minister of Canada to fly commercial? The security would be a nightmare. And using the Canadian equivalent of Air Force One would be much more environmentally damaging.
Anyway, it’s probably not a private jet, but a smaller government jet.
