I often disagreed with dogma. My senior year, two papers I wrote argued directly AGAINST the premise of two experiments (one worked the other failed and I wrote as to why it did ) and received high marks on both...One had the comment (...you are not privy to unpublished data that makes your third contention as presented null and void, but we like your use of logic on the limited information you presented...)
I guess my educators were looking for thinkers not followers.
