Add in the factor that he lost his wife...he's clearly lonely and the filly probably provides a sense of comfort and friendship that can't be replaced.
And it's not like she isn't earning any money for him, because she is.

Money, you nailed it! Lisa is Tim's Seabiscuit. She just turned his world upside down and sent a jolt of life through his veins. The guy is probably on cloud nine. I know I would be. I wish them both a prosperous and exciting future. Keep the Cinderella story going..the game needs it and so do we.
P.S. Before anybody starts posting, I am not comparing her to Seabiscuit!!!!!
