Obviously, NYRA has to prove that the extra people that will be around to put on the races will be safe, but I can't see why Belmont can't open other than those 7 guidelines Cuomo has in place for reopening areas of NY. Technically Long Island and Queens haven't passed yet. That might take another 2 weeks. If he used common sense though, it's pretty obvious that NYRA has been preparing for awhile and the racetrack is a very unique business in that most of the activity is already taking place anyway. Plus, other tracks have already demonstrated it can be done safely. Belmont needs to come back! We can worry about Saratoga after that.
