Yep.
Being good at "life" is much more important. Social skills, dealing with others, and managing your time is where successful people succeed. You can also throw drive and want to in there as well.
IQ tests are mostly math and recognizing patterns. While they may be adept at identifying those that can problem solve quickly, they don't identify the social skills needed in order to succeed in life.
