The Turf Course at BEL today is HEAVY!

A Grade II stakes race at 1 3/8 miles on the turf run in 2:30.88?

Are they afraid for some reason to label a turf course as "heavy" - even if it actually is?

My best guess is that doing so would "force" them to keep a race on the grass when they would rather move it to the main track - on the theory that once they have allowed one grass race to be run over a "heavy" course, they would feel obligated to run more such races under that condition.
