trying to get #6 Deer Crossing home. Yesterday saw three wire jobs on the turf, but this race looks to have a lot of speed and this guy has a nice closing kick. Had some early trouble last time behind a slow pace and still finished up nicely through a fast final fraction.

Verbal in a very nice turf race. Gr3 winner on turf as a 2yr old and has been facing some tough turf fields (as have others in here). Been wanting to give him another shot on turf after a good performance/tough trip last June at Bel followed by a dull wide trip race at Sar. Hard tryer usually shows up and gives it his all down the lane. Must overcome some formidable foes today.
