My perception is that she's a bit too young to have developed the kind of knowledge and analytical ability to make a good Congressperson. She doesn't have connections or the respect of her fellow lawmakers. She might be a lone gun in the House and she has visions of getting the old folks who dominate leadership to move in her philosophical direction. She's energetic and sincerely committed, but she needs experience, allies, and a staff that is bright and doesn't let her flop in committee hearings. My guess is her staff is a mirror image of her. Young, energetic, and doesn't have a enough experience to be totally helpful.
The fact is that she comes from a democratic district that had gotten tired of a guy that was spending too much time trying to be in a position to replace Pelosi. They wanted an activist who cared about them, and she'll be good at that. But she has a long way to go to sound intelligent about foreign policy or budget.
No way to tell how she will mature. Maybe she won't, but you get what you vote for.
