Can you give us any background on age, comorbidities, immune system issues?
That sounds like a pretty rare case, but it happened to a friend of mine too. He's 63, a transplant patient taking immune suppressors, and has several other comorbidities. He pulled through and is fine now, but he was a pretty bad shape for awhile. He had delta.
