It seems it takes people longer to mature with each passing generation. I really think the issue with the increase in school shootings and suicides for the 21 and under crowd has a lot of factors in it. I knew how to safely handle a firearm when I was 7, Alec Baldwin is over 60 and can't do it. I grew up around cops, my dad was always testing me on gun safety. If I did not pass each test I wasn't going on the next target shooting trip.
