Are you a little out of touch with the economy and the number of people that are out of work? I know plenty of friends with masters degrees in education that are going to job fair after job fair, and people are literally scalping the numbered tickets they get in order to get into the fairs quicker. There aren't enough jobs in schools right now for all the unemployed teachers. But you sound perfect for what an unemployed person needs, thinking just because they are unemployed that they are a scab. If you know even 1% about the education industry it is that the number of teachers at a school is based on the number of kids coming into a school within the districts boundaries. So, when there aren't enough kids coming into a certain grade level, the school would have to let go of some of those "scabs" that have actually had their students test very well, only because there is a shortage of kids.
