Prescott Downs in Prescott proper closed as a racetrack in 2000 (although the fairgrounds/rodeo grounds remained), and the new track was built for the next summer near the neighboring town of Prescott Valley, first being called Yavapai Downs before becoming the present Arizona Downs.
