Long distance travel in EVs are still a ways off. At 3/gallon for gas and $15/charge for electricity, a cross country trip is actually cheaper with gas AND saves significant time over EVs. Other than the climate BS, there is no real advantage to EVs. Up front cost is higher with EVs. Ongoing cost of fuel is higher in EVs. Replacement parts (battery) is significantly more in EVs. Time to fuel up is significantly more in EVs.
