Only 2 things I noticed about the baffert horses yesterday. Obviously they were both revved up. One so much so had to be scratched. The other revved up one wins.
I noticed the works being put into Authentic, which to my eye seemed over the top, no interval training at all, ALL starting in August 5F, 6F, 6F, 1 mile, 6F......and with very little spacing between. So concentrated. For a horse who had just gotten out of the Haskell. That seemed a bit over the top to me. I was expecting him to be a tired horse.......but instead, he was the opposite, super revved up.
As a friend said never underestimate the power of lidocaine patches.
Will be interesting to see how quickly he gets back on the worktab, etc.
