Maybe JFK was desperate and couldn't get anyone else to do the job, either.
While RFK's appointment was political and controversial, he was certainly better qualified to be AG than Jared is qualified to be Chief of Staff. RFK was an attorney and had 10 years of relevant experience as an upper level government attorney at the time he was appointed AG.

Kushner, like Trump, worked for his father in the real estate business and eventually took over the business. Trump took over when his father died, Kushner when his father was convicted for fraud in 2005 and incarcerated. The very idea of someone whose life experience is limited to NY real estate and crony deals negotiating foreign trade agreements is absurd.
