if you go food shopping at the stop and shop supermarket they give you .10 off a gallon for every $100 you spend, they also have items there that are specials that they credit you points for. the points only last for a month. i just filled up on monday with my wife and we saved $1.30 a gallon.
when gas goes above $4.00 a gallon this summer, it will croak this economy if it stays up there for more than 5 months. its like a raked poker game, everyone loses except for the house.
