Now I'm not saying the rain by itself is the entire issue, I don't think the track officials handled the rain up to par with what folks in europe or even the east coast would. Those tracks just get more rain, so they are (obviously) better at handling it.

It’s a combination of things. But to want to just blame the track (which riders and experts have said is fine) is shortsighted. To pretend that perfectly sound horses are heading to the track and breaking down is unrealistic.
