This will be an unfortunate trend Norm since GP lacks 8.5f prep for their Derby. Seems so insignificant… ½ a furlong, but many good trainers say you can gut a young animal by pushing that button this early.

I also read that Zito was looking at the Tampa Bay Derby after this tune up. Again…I think the 9f only distance is working against GP and Tampa is really positioned well.
