Here’s a longer version that gives context. Schumer’s remarks were directed more at Republicans in general than Kavanaugh or Gorsuch in particular. “Reap the whirlwind “ refers to the coming election, not violence against any person.
That speech by Schumer took place in March. The threat to Kavanaugh occurred in June-three months later. There is no evidence that the man arrested near the Kavanaugh residence, who was from California, was at that rally. It’s ridiculous to think he was inspired by a three month old speech that he probably never heard.
There were no violent demonstrations even after the official ruling came down. No property damage by demonstrators. No personal threats connected to protesters
Unlike Jan. 6, where there was a direct connection between the President’s speech and the attack on the Capitol. An attack in which scores of police officers were injured and public officials were threatened with hanging.
