There's a simple answer -- the handicapping software market is small, and I mean tiny. The R & D costs to create a
worthwhile app are high relative to the revenue the app will generate. Add into that the program updates, customer service, web site costs, etc. and very few programmers want to invest the time and money. I have always wanted to create some good programs and have started many handicapping projects, but I fall into the category of not wanting to invest my time anymore even though doing so is on my bucket list and would be a labor of love. Never say never, but other things in life take precedence.
