Normal people find this offensive, the next election is going to be a backlash against this. You can expect those who find this all too repugnant are going to turn out in droves in November. Drudge is right leaning. Of course, they will say the left has started a civil war. It's hyperbole to keep eyeballs on their web pages.
I work with people on both sides of the aisle -- some far left, and some far right. I don't hear any of them talking about starting a civil war.
There have always been people on the fringe who try to rile up everyone, but all they do is define the middle. It's the middle that shifts back and forth like slow moving pendulum.
Currently, the middle is further to the right and elected Trump. Last cycle the middle elected Obama.
We'll see where the pendulum is after this cycle.
