Darn it.
I was looking forward to a better showing by JC yesterday in the Haskell.
I never thought the classic distances were within his range, but figured he could get 9f a little better than he did.
His race wasn't awful by any means (he attended a pretty fast pace), but never looked like a winner once they hit the far turn.
Eventual winner Cyberknife was looming menacingly right behind him, and Taiba had found his legs once he got outside of horses.
I suppose the Allen Jerkens on Travers Day may be the next step for JC.
Still a big fan of this colt...is it too early to tab him as the 2023 Met Mile winner?
