I meant with short fields and tons of scratches that NYRA dirt race have. Why should you expect the turf races have full fields and no scratches when the dirt races don't? It is NYRA and that is what we have been getting most days on the dirt. That said they are still good races to bet because there is usually at least one horse getting a fair amount of money in each race that has next to no chance of winning.

Some day in the not too distant future, horse players will betting on computer generated races over the net. Race tracks will become casinos and shopping centers. And some crooner will be belting out "there used to be a race track here".
