Do you consider an estimated weight (based on a running line) of a horse from a race 20 days ago as a legitimate "pre-race" weight for today's race?

Here's my contribution: It's useless. For these reasons:
PP data alone is dubious (i.e., several here have unearthed inaccuracies of timing systems and Trakus).
Horses eat, train, get medicated, drink, walk, jog, poop, etc. every day between races.
Ergo, a questionably estimated (no matter how mathematically sound) weight from weeks ago is not a good stand-in for a scaled weight the morning of the race.
But I think an ongoing tracking of horses' weights would be immensely useful for reasons I've stated elsewhere.
