The real issue, though, is that it takes 5-8 times longer to produce a book and people are only willing to pay 1/3 as much.

As far as the cost of a book..if it was a really good comprehensive book I'd pay significantly more - maybe I am alone on that. Geez..I paid $100 for Professional Harness Betting by Barry Meadow pushing 30 years ago. It was worth that to me (that's probably 300 or 400 in today's dollars..and I was broke then)
