I don't know how much of the exchange betting really works, however, my 200 race sample has my top pick winning but 25% of the time at an average dollar odds of $1.71-1, for a $1 return of $0.69.
so if I lose $1.71 25% of the time and win $1 75% of the time I have a 1.75% edge. TALK ABOUT TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!
