The way its intended is just morning line drops so you can look for early money
late money etc. It gives a numeric figure to each horse and you can see what
is winning. A few years ago there was a computer real time program which follow
ed real time handicapping and labeled the largest drop D1 and D2 horses that
stayed the same E and early money was U1 and it was all color coded on the
screen. I rented the program for one month and realized the D1's were the same
as the Totemaster largest drop. It worked wonders at Woodbine with the big
fields and the 20 cent supers. I would alway use an E1 or E2 in my tickets
and sometimes the odds were 20 to 1 and they would sneak in many supers.
I did a lot of research cause I would take the 15 minute mark opposed to the
M/L which they suggested and then waited until after 3 min. You used to have
to go fast to make your calculations but lately every track seems to take the
Gulfstream approach where they walk around for 5 minutes before going into
the gate. I used it between races cause it only requires 2 tote board reads
and gave me horses I would never play otherwise. You can see now the book
is well worn and at one time Ebay was selling them like hotcakes. Stupid me
never bought a backup.
