Putin announces a Partial Mobilization.
Does this mean anything? No, probably not as it doubtful Russia can even mobilize in a meaningful way at this point. This won't satisfy the hardliners and it looks to be the best way for him to ease in to what will be a wider mobilization/war effort.
The plan for Putin appears to be;
Throw men into the meat grinder to;
Blunt upcoming Ukrainian offensives along multiple fronts meanwhile;
hold sham referendums to declare conquered areas part of Russia which;
would allow Russia to declare them under the Russian nuclear umbrella and then;
Hope this works... (it won't)
