Pros - preserve turf course, boost cheaper cards in field size
unfortunately some of the weekend cards haven't been built on Dirt and Turf framework as much as preferred
hopefully, as with the timing issues, and post time procrastination, this will continually improve
quirkyness - if you buy the old setups>pace theories for synth, it can build in some insights (eg a horse w/ inflated credentials, or a horse that did significant running vs. grain but was under the radar of the pace/speed figs).
unfortunately this would also imply greater randomness in any given event.
also w/ GP - Their post bias at 8.5 an 9f dirt was one of the best quirks that they offered, and they've already been less frequent in recent years, but seem to have given a major slice of those over to synth races now, as well
